EMTs keep Royal Oaks residents safe

To provide a higher level of resident safety and peace of mind, Royal Oaks has added six Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to the security staff.

Dan Wilson, Security Supervisor, pictured here at the camera-monitoring station with Jake and Shay, two of the EMTs, said his goal is to ensure that residents are provided immediate response if in need of medical services. “The common areas of our 40+ acre campus are monitored by 130 cameras, along with members of my staff circulating through the property continually to ensure the safety and comfort of residents. The EMT security staff members are able to quickly diagnose a situation and start providing a level of support if a resident is in distress. Royal Oaks has a commitment to resident safety and comfort, first and foremost. My department also serve as first responders when an emergency pull cord is activated in a resident’s home and we can assess the situation and make decisions based on the severity of the incident, as we are trained.”

Dan’s experience includes 10 years in law enforcement.
