A major element of enjoying care-free senior living means never having to worry should a health event ever occur — for the entirety of your retirement. This is what a Life Plan community offers. In fact, Royal Oaks is the only Life Plan community in Sun City.
Imagine being assured of being taken care of for life. No worrying about any future or unplanned medical costs — ever. Nothing replaces the peace of mind that comes with Life Plan living, or the elevated sense of freedom, confidence, and independence it brings.
Lifecare is available to those who enter our Independent Living neighborhood and is included in your one-time entrance fee and regular monthly fee. There are certain prerequisites to qualifying for Lifecare. You must be able to live independently when you move into Royal Oaks and meet the health and financial requirements.
For you and your loved ones, Lifecare at Royal Oaks CCRC in Sun City is the ideal way to ensure financial security and not worry about “outliving your money.”
Lifecare is a welcome alternative to the costs of other long-term care options, which can easily exceed $100,000 a year. On top of this, both your entrance and monthly fees are partially tax deductible.*
Living in a continuing care retirement community such as Royal Oaks, you’ll have a full range of care on-site: wellness clinic, home health services, assisted living, memory support, and complete supportive living. Through any health challenge, you can remain on our campus, surrounded by our resident community and our compassionate staff.
Our residents usually qualify for significant tax breaks as part of their Life Plan agreement.
The average on-campus tax deduction may range between 35% – 40% each year.
Actual tax savings will depend on your own financial situation and on current tax rates and laws.
Many financial advisers and attorneys may not be familiar with the medical tax deductions linked to Type A Life Plan Community fees, although accountants usually are.
We encourage you to have your advisors contact us for more information.*
Our residency counselor is ready to help determine what may be the best contract option for your situation.
Royal Oaks is what’s known as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). As a resident, you enter into a Life Plan. These two elements — our CCRC standing and the nature of your Life Plan agreement — means the IRS is able to recognize part of your one-time entry fee and ongoing monthly fees as medical expenses.* The bottom line? A portion of your entry fee and monthly payments may be able to be written off on your taxes.
* Tax matters can be complex and rules and regulations can change. We recommend consulting with your tax professional, CPA, or financial professional for more detailed information about your own financial situation and the possible tax savings available to you.
Being a Life Plan community (and the only one in Sun City) only serves to strengthen our financial legacy because of our ability to exceed the expectations of more seniors.
Since first opening, we have built a reputation for financial and management strength. This serves to not only reassure our residents, but enables our leadership team to ensure Royal Oaks is always on the leading-edge of retirement living. As evidence of this commitment, look no further than the development of Inspirata Pointe, our newest neighborhood, and Eleganta Pointe, our specialized neighborhood for personal care, memory care and complete supportive assisted living.
