Midwestern University honors Royal Oaks with the COMET Award

Midwestern University’s Bright Light, Shining Stars Gala last weekend was a celebration honoring the University’s scholarship recipients and business partners. Royal Oaks Board of Trustees Chair, Carol Bryan, accepted the COMET award (Community Outreach: Motivating Excellence for Tomorrow) for Royal Oaks, which recognizes exemplary commitment to community service. Many residents and staff members attended the gala. Shown here enjoying the festivities outdoor indoor the lights are residents Bob and Barb Munter, Paul and Kathy DeBeer, Ken and Carol Pierick, Earl and Diana Hartman, and Fred and Lillian Dorgin.

“Our partnership with Midwestern continues to flourish,” said Royal Oaks CEO Kendra Eberhart. “In addition to the dental clinic they run on our campus, their pharmacy and therapy students augment their classroom learning with hands-on experience at our community. We’re very honored to receive the COMET award and look forward to many more years as their partner.”
