Since 2014, a dedicated group of Royal Oaks residents have been crafting wooden toys to give to children at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, crisis centers, and dozens of other organizations that help less privileged children. What started out as a small project has blossomed into a close-knit group of men and women who gather in our wood shop to make and paint toys of all kinds. The celebration last week was in honor of the 10,000th toy produced.
See the photos of our celebration (Santa came!) held last week. One of the toy crafters, Jimmy Smith, also was caught on video and talked about the club’s success.
